On January 9 - 11, 1997 the annual Cadet Congress was held.

This year some major changes to the D.C.E. program were approved.

Corps was instructed to put in place a Staff Training Coordinator (STC)

as well as 5 Regional Training Coordinators (RTC'S) by next June.

They will put in place a series of changes set down by a special taskforce.

In the fall regional meetings will be held to impliment these changes.

All congressman have copies of the task forces report and the plan of action,

please take time to read this material. These actions will be

a major step in improving the level of counselor training in the years to come.
