What is DCE?
DCE is a person who has been trained to help with the
counselor education program within his council.
He is taught to assess the training needs, and develop stuctured
workshops or training sessions to fill those needs.
DCEs commit to a minimum of three years.
They are trained through three weekend training sessions (Phase
1, 2, 3)

Phase 4? What’s that?It’s something that Congress determined January 2013.
We have been mandated to incorporate a mentoring / coaching track into the DCE program.
The regional training coordinators found out what it’s about at their January 2013 meeting,
when they were trained to coach during their annual conference.
Now we are bringing it to you as a Phase 4 option, every March.
Watch for news and special e-mailings.
